We’ve accomplished a great deal over the past 12 months. No, we haven’t travelled light years or boarded spacecraft but we’ve almost completed our Moonlight Head accommodation project. We’ve taken lots of small steps, with one giant leap towards launch date.
When we purchased the property, with breathtaking views across the Southern Ocean, towards the 12 Apostles, our vision was to welcome you, our future guests, to our patch of paradise. A setting within authentic Australian bushland, on a coastal headland, where the kangaroos roam free and the kookaburras provide the bushman’s alarm clock! An area aptly named Wattle Hill.
Set within one of the most scenic landscapes along Victoria’s coastline, travel just 20km west and you’ll discover the 12 Apostles. Or choose to hike the Great Ocean Walk and experience the raw, dramatic scenery on foot before arriving at these fascinating limestone stacks.
Closer to home, just minutes away, you can spy the remnants of the shipwrecks Marie Gabrielle (1869) and the Fiji (1891) at Wreck Beach. An iron anchor and part of the capstan, from the French barque, the Marie Gabrielle, can be seen at low tide. Local divers imbedded an anchor from the iron barque, the Fiji, which can also be viewed in calmer sea conditions. Visit http://visit12apostles.com.au for more information on what to see and do.
